Born in the 80’s, graphic artist eltipo grew up in his father’s car body shop where he first experimented and perfected his custom paint skills. In 2009 he graduated at the school of arts in Brussels with a master degree in graphic design. His first job was at Bell Racing Europe where he designed graphics and helmets for some of the world’s fastest F1 pilots. 2012 changed course to Antwerp where his time at Pinkeye designstudio taught him how to design and tell stories for brands, designing visual identities, packaging and interior integrations.
Since 2016 eltipo is an independent designer, artist and craftsman with a strong affection for letters, typography and illustration. Fuelled with influences from adrenaline sports, tattoo culture and graffiti, he creates artworks translated into different media. The combination of traditional crafts with contemporary techniques have become a signature trademark in his work, pleasing a diverse range of clients such as Nike, Bombay Sapphire, Glenfiddich, Donna Karan, Duvel Moortgat, Smeg, Sergio Herman, Cote d’Ôr, Campari, Honda and many others. Features in international exhibitions and several book- & magazine publications has ensured a worldwide recognition.
